Guohua Energy Investment Co., Ltd. (Guohua Investment), a subsidiary of China Energy Investment Corporation, hosted the "Gen Z Energy Tour China-Europe" international open day event from May 18 to 20 in Weihai City of east China's Shandong Province.
It was learned during the event that the grid-connected installed capacity of new energy by Guohua Investment had exceeded 20 million kilowatts, and the installed capacity will exceed 32 million kilowatts by 2025.
The "Gen Z Energy Tour China-Europe" activities include visits to some of well-performing clean energy projects in Greece and China.
In the Weihai tour, a visiting group composed of 10 young foreigners from 6 countries visited Wanghai Wind Farm, the largest offshore wind power project in terms of installed capacity in Shandong by the National Energy Group, and the Rongcheng Wind Farm, the first wind power project in Shandong by Guohua Investment.
During the Weihai tour, a seminar on China-Greek mountain wind power technology was also held, providing insights for China-Europe new energy technology exchange and the development of wind power technology in the world.
Guohua Investment Shandong Branch was established in June 2000, engaging in the development, construction, and operation of new energy power generation projects. As of February 2024, the company has been operating 17 onshore wind power stations, two offshore wind power stations, three distributed photovoltaic power stations, and one electrochemical energy storage power station in Shandong Province, with a total new energy installation of 4.33 million kilowatts.
