Hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, "Ambassadors Face to Face With CRRC" Campaign took place at CRRC Tangshan Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of CRRC Corporation Limited (CRRC).
A total of 83 envoys from more than 70 countries and international organizations visited the enterprise to have an up-close experience of China's achievements in the rail transit equipment manufacturing sector. The visit provided them with insights into China's pursuit of high-quality development and the development of new quality productive forces, as well as an understanding of the wisdom and solutions China has offered in its exchanges with other countries.
Customized Train Features for Enhanced Passenger Experience
The envoys were drawn to the variable configuration Electric Multiple Units (EMUs) and train designed for the Fuzhou Metro Binhai Express during their visit to the digital testing production line of the assembly division at CRRC Tangshan Co., Ltd.
In a prototype train of the Fuzhou Metro Binhai Express, the ceiling lighting features a blue sky with white clouds, offering an immersive riding environment for passengers. The handles in the train, designed in the shape of the Fuzhou Metro logo, are at an optimal height to meet personalized needs. Besides, the arrangement of seats, along with luggage compartments, ensures a high capacity while providing a comfortable experience for long-distance travelers. Moreover, the Express exteriors are made of materials resistant to corrosion and humidity to withstand the local climate.

Transforming Aluminum into High-Speed Train Bodies at CRRC Tangshan
The manufacturing base at CRRC Tangshan Co., Ltd. handles the production of various components for high-speed train bodies.
During manufacturing, the body of a high-speed train is divided into six parts: the sidewalls with doors and windows, the end walls at the front and rear, the roof, and the underframe. Notably, the front end of the underframe is a critical component in transmitting power and absorbing braking energy during the operation of high-speed trains. It is also one of the most complex welded parts of the high-speed train's aluminum alloy body, consisting of over 90 plates and profiles of varying thickness. The thinnest plates are only 2 millimeters thick, while the thickest coupler plates reach 35 millimeters.

The aluminum alloy train body is one of the nine key technologies for high-speed trains. Its manufacturing process, quality control, and energy-saving features represent the most advanced level of large-scale aluminum alloy product manufacturing in the world.
CRRC Tangshan's Car Body Division boasts 12 production lines, with the capacity of producing three high-speed EMU trains, two urban rail vehicles, and four carbon steel cars on a daily basis. This makes it a leading intelligent manufacturing base in the rail transport industry.
CRRC's Global Rail Projects Enhance Connectivity and Development
The China-Europe Railway Express, the China-Laos Railway, the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway, and the Mombasa-Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) are key international cooperative projects in which CRRC is involved.
CRRC engages in high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, facilitating “hard connectivity” of infrastructure, “soft connectivity” of industry rules and standards, and people-to-people connectivity around the world.
Michael Campbell, the Nicaraguan ambassador to China, pointed out that Nicaragua currently has no railway network, but by learning from CRRC's innovative experiences, his country and several other Latin American and Caribbean countries have become very interested in China's advanced rail transit products.
CRRC has made a monumental leap from producing generic rolling stock to the advanced Fuxing series and from a speed of 35 km/h to 350 km/h, mirroring China's accelerated development and progress towards rejuvenation. In the global rail transport industry, CRRC is committed to creating more iconic projects under the Belt and Road Initiative, benefiting people worldwide.
