ARSC Launches China's First 'Integrated Ecological Big Data Management and Control System in Mining Areas'

Updated: April 17, 2024

Recently, the unveiling ceremony of the "Integrated Ecological Big Data Management and Control System in Mining Areas" developed by the Aerial Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing Group Co Ltd (ARSC) was held in Beijing.

The system, leveraging ARSC's professional expertise in surveying and geographic information, is the nation's first integrated ecological monitoring system produced for China Huadian Coal Industry Group Co Ltd. It will be used for comprehensively monitoring ecological restoration activities in mining areas.

The system fully utilizes fundamental geographic information data, underground mining data, surface condition data, and other basic data from Huadian Coal Industry Group's mines to establish an ecological database, laying the data foundation for the analysis of geological and ecological conditions and systematic function development of mining areas.

Currently, the system covers such functions as mining data management, mining ecological environment monitoring, and mining ecological restoration design and evaluation. It employs satellite remote sensing, the Internet of Things, cloud computing, and other technologies, combined with the regional characteristics of different mines, focusing on the heterogeneity of monitoring objects, achieving full-cycle supervision of the mining areas.

The system is a great achievement after years of involvement in the fields of national spatial ecological restoration and mining ecological restoration by the ARSC.

In recent years, relying on the big data center and taking advantage of the complete industrial chain, ARSC has actively developed a comprehensive chain for spatial ecological restoration design, governance, and monitoring. It has successively developed monitoring system platforms for ecological restoration projects in the Muli region, Qinghai province, and ecological restoration supervision platforms for land space in Yulin, Shaanxi province.
