Updated: April 07, 2024

The second phase of the Land-Sea Project at the Belbazem Oilfield in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates, has been put into operation.

The project was jointly developed and invested by China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) and ADNOC, an energy group wholly owned by the Abu Dhabi Government.

The first phase of the project started operation in March 2018.

With operation of the second phase, the Land-Sea Project is expected to achieve a daily output of 50,000 barrels of crude oil.

Zhang Yiming, the Chinese Ambassador to the UAE, emphasized that energy is an important area of pragmatic cooperation between China and Arab countries. The Land-Sea Project stands as a model of cooperation between CNPC and ADNOC, achieving mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation results.
