With the arrival of warmer weather, the critical period for spring plowing and irrigation has begun. In order to ensure the electricity demands of farmers in such a season, on Tuesday, staff members of State Grid Weihai Power Supply went to a cherry planting greenhouse in Yinjia village in Weihai, Shandong Province to provide services.

"Every step of the cultivation in the greenhouse — from irrigation and ventilation to insulation and preservation — relies on electricity. This is the equipment specifically used for irrigation. With the flip of a switch, the greenhouse can be thoroughly irrigated in just over an hour. It's really convenient and efficient," said the greenhouse owner surnamed Li. He is very satisfied with the thoughtful service of State Grid Weihai Power Supply.

"I have several greenhouses, with a large area and high yield. None of them can operate without electricity. In addition to providing on-site maintenance services, the staff members from the power supply station also frequently call to inquire about our electricity needs. This is really relieving and considerate," he added.

Regarding the needs during farming seasons, State Grid Weihai Power Supply carried out comprehensive maintenance services and reduced the time of power outages. This can help eliminate power outages in relevant power supply equipment during the peak period of spring plowing and irrigation.

The company has opened a green channel for spring plowing and irrigation, responding to the electricity needs of farmers and agricultural machinery manufacturers. They have also set up power supply stations to take early action and organized eight volunteer teams to conduct field inspections.

As of Friday, a total of 42 overloaded and low-voltage distribution transformers have been rectified, 198 equipment hazards have been eliminated, 828 households have been visited, and 53 households have completed the relevant applications for spring plowing and irrigation.

In the future, State Grid Weihai Power Supply said it will continue to invest in efforts to ensure high quality spring plowing and irrigation services, and provide safer and more efficient power supply services for farmers during spring plowing and irrigation, in a bid to boost the rural revitalization.
