With this delivery, Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding has now delivered a total of 562 vessels, including 334 Cape-size Newcastle-type bulk carriers and 12 with dual-fuel power.

With a length of 299.80 meters, a width of 47.5 meters and a depth of 24.70 meters, the UBUNTU LIBERTY has a designed draft of 18.25 meters and a service speed of 14 knots.

It can be powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG) and is equipped with two C-type LNG fuel tanks. When driven by LNG, the carrier has nearly zero emission of particulate matter and sulfur compounds, meeting the phase IV requirements of the International Maritime Organization.

The green, environmentally-friendly and energy-conserving carrier is registered in the Det Norske Veritas (DNV).
