China Tourism Group Corporation Limited (CTG) provided tourists with high-quality services during Spring Festival.
On the first day of the Chinese Lunar New Year, the company launched a five-day Beijing trip for 16 Hong Kong tourists so they could experience traditional Spring Festival culture.
Tourist groups to Turkiye and South Africa launched by CTG’s branch in North China experienced both traditional Chinese cultures and the local folk cultures of Turkiye and South Africa such as making dumplings and celebrating Spring Festival, and learning Turkish cuisine and visiting primitive African tribes.
CTG’s branch in East China joined hands with the Nanjing Museum and organized an outstanding tour guide interpreter group, providing daily professional, vivid and informative interpretation services for nearly 200 visitors to the museum during the Spring Festival vacation.
It's worth noting that scenic spots and resorts affiliated to CTG launched more than 500 performances and over 30 theme parades.
For example, Window of the World in Shenzhen, South China’s Guangdong Province, celebrated the 30th anniversary of its inauguration, which attracted 300,000 tourists. Large groups of people were also seen at the Splendid China Folk Villages in Shenzhen and at many other CTG resorts that launched special activities themed on Spring Festival.
According to the company, scenic spots and resorts affiliated to CTG welcomed more than 1.6 million visits during the Spring Festival vacation, up by nearly 60 percent year-on-year.
Among them, the Window of the World, the Shapotou Scenic Spot in Northwest China’s Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, Detian Waterfalls in South China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and the Xiufeng Mountain cableway at Lushan National Park in East China’s Jiangxi Province hit record highs in tourist reception and operation revenue.

Large crowds of people were also seen at CDF Haikou International Duty-Free City in Hainan, where Spring Festival-themed activities like Spring Festival-themed markets and parades and traditional Chinese dances were also launched. This Duty-Free City welcomed more than 360,000 visits from Feb 10 to 17, an increase of 9.8 percent year-on-year.
CTG’s hotels also performed well. From Feb 10 to 17, CTG hotels in the Chinese mainland and the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions had a year-on-year growth of 115 percent in number of guests and operation revenue.
The operation performance owed much to special Spring Festival-themed activities and local intangible heritage culture exhibitions launched at the hotels.
Last but not least, CTG also had a splendid performance in tourism transportation.
The company’s coaches transported 293,300 passengers during the Spring Festival vacation, providing safe, highly-efficient, comfortable and convenient travel experience.
The cross-border transportation service of the company served more than 160,000 passengers, a year-on-year growth of more than 120 percent.
CTG’s cruises also had an increase in tourist reception and operation revenue.
