Developed by Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. (DSIC), a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited, the B-type LNG fuel bin is the core facility of the 16,000 twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU) dual-fuel LNG container carrier built for Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A.

The fuel bin was mainly built with NV9Ni/a steel and has been registered at the Det Norske Veritas (DNV).

Development and building of the fuel bin is expected to improve global competitiveness of the Chinese shipbuilding industry in the new energy shipping field.
