China General Nuclear Power Group (CGN) exported more than 333.8 billion kilowatt-hours of new energy-based power in 2023, a year-on-year increase of 7.5 percent, according to the company.
The power amount equals that produced by burning about 100.38 million metric tons of standard coal and a reduction of about 260 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
Of the power generated by CGN, nearly 214.15 billion kWh were generated by nuclear reactors, up 7.95 percent year-on-year.
At present, CGN has 27 nuclear power generator units in service, with a total installed capacity of 30.56 million kilowatts. There are 11 nuclear power generator units under construction, which will have an installed capacity of about 13.25 million kW.
