Cao said in order to ensure the successful broadcasting of the "Setting Sail in 2024" event on the night of Dec 31, 2023, her company has organized 21 professional teams in six groups — with a total staff of 188 people — to provide power supply support.
The main venue was located in Hehe Park in the Jiaojiang district, while the branch venue was located in Dachen Reclamation Monument Square, which is 29 nautical miles away and surrounded by mountains and the sea, said Jin Yuqi, a staffer from the Dachen subbranch of the local power supply company.
Before the official living broadcasting, staffers from State Grid Taizhou Power Supply Co spent eight days finishing related work, installing 11 temporary box transformers, two temporary main cabinets, 68 low-voltage branch boxes, high-voltage cables extending for 2.5 kilometers, as well as low-voltage cables extending for 7.2 kilometers for the main venue by Dec 3, Jin said.
And the first rehearsal of the CCTV New Year's Eve gala on the night of Dec 4 was a complete success, said Jin Yizhou from the Jiaoxi subbranch of Taizhou Power Supply Co, who witnessed the whole rehearsal.
The smooth opening of the evening party in Jiaojiang district marked the realization of its goal of "zero equipment failure, zero work error, and zero service complaint" for State Grid Taizhou Power Supply Co, Cao said.
Shen Mingquan, acting mayor of Taizhou, said on Jan 4 that the city will continue promoting projects, optimizing the environment, strengthening guarantees, and benefiting people's livelihood, to usher in new achievements in the New Year.
