The Anjiazhuang Grand Bridge of the No 109 National Expressway recently succeeded rotation, marking completion of the construction of the entire upper part of the bridge.

Located in Mentougou District of Beijing, the No 109 National Expressway was the first highway in West Beijing and has a designed speed of 80 kilometers per hour.
The Anjiazhuang Grand Bridge stretches across the Fengtai-Shacheng Railway and the Yongding River.
In order to reduce impact on normal travel of the operating railway, special engineering techniques and advanced technologies were used, which also improved safety during construction.

The No 109 National Expressway is a major livelihood project in Beijing.
Once operational, the project is expected to shorten travel hours to one hour compared to the old highway. What's more, as a fast corridor connecting North China's Hebei Province and western areas of Beijing, the expressway will effectively relieve the traffic pressure in northwestern and southwestern areas of Beijing and will also contribute to the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
