The World Ice and Snow Economy of Cold Regions Conference opened in Changchun, capital city of Northeast China's Jilin Province, on Nov 17. An international cooperation development forum and a central-local cooperation forum were held during the event.
China Energy Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (Energy China) signed an integrated renewable green energy project agreement with the People's Government of Baicheng City, and a pumped storage comprehensive energy development project agreement with the People's Government of Jiutai District in Changchun City, with a total contract value of 36.5 billion yuan ($5.10 billion).
The integrated renewable green energy project in Baicheng City involves the construction of a production base with an annual output of 300,000 tons of aviation fuel and 300,000 tons of methanol, with a total investment of around 26 billion yuan. The pumped storage comprehensive energy development project in Jiutai District, Changchun, will build a 1.2 million-kilowatt pumped storage energy generation project.
The signing of these projects will help build a national-level clean energy base in western Jilin, contributing to secure energy security and providing sustained impetus for the revitalization of Northeast China.
