Wuhuan Engineering Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China National Chemical Engineering Group Corporation Ltd and PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja, a company under the Indonesian state-owned fertilizer manufacturer PT Pupuk, held a signing ceremony for the PUSRI-IIIB synthetic ammonia and urea project in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia.
The PUSRI-IIIB project is located in Palembang, southern Sumatra Island, Indonesia. It involves the production of 1,350 tons of synthetic ammonia and 2,750 tons of urea per day, with a total contract value of approximately $630 million and contract duration of 40 months. The scope of work includes project management, patented technology provision, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and performance assessment. The project is executed jointly by a consortium composed of Wuhuan Engineering Co., Ltd. and the local Indonesian construction company PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk (ADHI).
China National Chemical Engineering Group Corporation Ltd has deeply penetrated the Indonesian market over the years, and has completed a number of engineering projects in areas such as synthetic ammonia, urea, phosphoric acid, sulfuric acid, LNG receiving stations, carbon black, and coal-to-ethylene glycol. The PUSRI-IIIB project marks another large-scale EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contracting project undertaken by the Chinese company in the Indonesian market.
Throughout the construction period, the company will leverage its professional expertise and extensive project management capabilities to provide high-quality engineering services and perform the contract.
