Changqing Oilfield actively implements China's dual carbon goals, focusing on a three-step strategy of energy conservation and consumption reduction, clean energy substitution, and strategic succession, and is working on four major carbon reduction initiatives: carbon reduction, carbon utilization, carbon replacement, and carbon sequestration. The oilfield is creating a photovoltaic power-based operational model and is building a new energy pattern that integrates oil, gas, wind, solar, and thermal energy in a complementary manner. It has been on the fast track to develop green and low-carbon oil extraction plants.

Jidong Oilfield strengthens the integration of oil and gas exploration and development with new energy. It actively promotes the development of new energy as well as low-carbon and carbon-negative industries, and continues to increase the net contribution rate of oil and gas and its comprehensive energy supply security capacities.

Daqing Oilfield's underground operation system prioritizes environmental protection. Through the application of supporting technologies such as anti-seepage cloths, enclosure construction, and recycling pools, the goal of preventing oil spills from the well, preventing spills from reaching the ground, and ensuring no pollution reaches the ground is achieved. The clean operation coverage rate of front-line construction teams has reached 100 percent.
