China's First 300-Ton Domestically-Made Mining Truck Delivered

Updated: July 19, 2023

The first 300-ton domestically-made mining dump truck was recently delivered to the Haerwusu Open-Pit Coal Mine in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

The domestically produced 300-ton mining dump truck is the fruit of in-depth cooperation on domestic machinery between Inner Mongolia North Hauler Joint Stock Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Northern Industries Group Corporation Limited and Zhunneng Group, a subsidiary of CHN Energy Investment Group, and saw the participation of other leading companies.

This model has overcome core technical challenges in mining heavy-duty trucks such as high-power engines and electric drive systems, and improves China's comprehensive strength in key components, basic materials, basic processes, and industrial technologies for mining trucks. It also breaks the dual monopoly of technology and price of imported products and marks a milestone in the development of electric-wheel mining vehicles in China.

In addition, the product is China's first domestically-produced heavy-duty truck with completely independent intellectual property rights. It adopts a mining high-speed diesel engine developed by a domestic manufacturer and is equipped with an intelligent monitoring system for the engine.

Inner Mongolia North Hauler Joint Stock Co., Ltd. said it will continue to collaborate with Zhunneng Group to work on trial operations of the truck, and will keep improving its performance and make it a highly reliable, durable, and higher-quality mining truck.
