Developed and built by the Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology, a subsidiary of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC), the Long March 6 is a new generation of liquid oxygen kerosene launch vehicle that adopts the “Three horizon” test-launch mode featuring horizontal assembly, horizontal testing, and horizontal transfer.
In this mission, the rocket team strived to optimize the process, improving reliability and enhancing mission adaptability for the launch in response to satellite requirements.
The Shiyan 25 satellite was developed by the China Academy of Space Technology, a CASC subsidiary, and it will be used in land surveys, urban planning, and disaster prevention and mitigation.
The launch mission marked the 477th flight of the Long March rocket family.
