The world's longest propane-propylene separation tower was recently hoisted.
The tower is a core facility of the propane dehydrogenation project with an annual output of 900,000 metric tons that was contracted by China Construction Industrial & Energy Engineering Group Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China State Construction Engineering Corporation.

The tower is 138.6 meters long and has a maximum diameter of 10.8 meters. Weighing about 2,558 metric tons, the tower has a volume of 11,039 cubic meters.
Located in the Wanhua Penglai Industrial Park in Yantai, East China's Shandong Province, the propane dehydrogenation project covers an area of 103,500 square meters and is one of the major projects of the region in 2022. It is scheduled to start operation in June 2024.
Once officially operational, the project is expected to contribute to building the Penglai-Yantai Wanhua Industrial Park into a comprehensive green and environmentally-friendly low-carbon zone with world-leading technological level and additional value.
