Jointly developed by Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding (Group) Co., Ltd. and China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd, both subsidiaries of China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited (CSSC), the ship has been registered at the Det Norske Veritas (DNV).
It is a green, environmentally-friendly, highly-efficient, energy-conserving, economical and safe ship equipped with various special devices such as a small bulbous bow, large-diameter propeller and energy-conserving pipes.
It's worth noting that the ship has adopted the air-bubble drag reduction system, the first time it has been used in this type of ship. The system effectively lowers energy consumption and reduces carbon dioxide emissions by 6,000 metric tons annually.
The shaft generator system equipped on the ship helps lower fuel consumption while optimizing oil consumption and the energy efficiency design index of the ship, and also cuts down emissions of greenhouse gases.
