Located in Chengyang District, Qingdao, the Youth Football Stadium project has a total building area of 194,000 square meters, which includes a 50,000-seat professional football pitch, two 11-a-side pitches, a multipurpose hall containing three standard basketball courts, a swimming facility containing a standard swimming pool and a warm-up training pool, supporting buildings for commercial use, an underground parking area and other infrastructure.

The stadium is designed in the shape of waves, which echoes the beautiful natural coastal scenery of Qingdao.

In consideration of both international trends and Chinese spectating habits, the spectators' stand features two levels, on each of which is installed a 202.75-square-meter screen that provides spectators with splendid views of the match and players.

Selection of the grass for the turf was based on the climate in Qingdao, and so the surface is expected to perform well.

It is expected that international and domestic matches will take place in the stadium, along with performances of various kinds.

Next, CSCEC plans to build a "Fitness-for-All" public service system and standard stadium management to fully develop the commercial resources for the stadium, making it a comprehensive football-themed venue with such functions as training, performance, sports, healthcare and entertainment.
