China Railway Group Limited (CREC) has pushed forward construction of its project nationwide since early this year.

Track-laying of the section between Nanchong and Bazhong of the Hanzhong-Bazhong-Nanchong High-speed Railway in Southwest China's Sichuan Province is being undertaken by China Railway No. 4 Engineering Group Co., Ltd. It is the first high-speed railway totally invested by the local government. With a total length of 148.04 kilometers, the railway has six stations and stretches through core zones of several revolutionary base areas like Yilong and Bazhong .

Construction of the upper part of the No. 6 main tower of the Changtai Yangtze River Bridge in East China's Jiangsu Province recently started. The project was designed by China Railway Major Bridge Reconnaissance & Design Institute Co., Ltd., and contracted by China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group Co., Ltd., China Railway Hi-Tech Industry Co., Ltd. is also participating in its construction.
The bridge is a highway-railway dual-use cable-stayed bridge and the main channel bridge has the world's longest main span of 1,176 meters. The No. 6 tower has a designed height of 352 meters, which makes it the highest bridge tower in the world.

Bridge erection on the second section of the highway linking Yibin of Southwest China's Sichuan Province and Weixin of Southwest China's Yunnan Province has been completed.
Ninety percent of the construction of the highway section is now finished. China Railway Beijing Group Co., Ltd. is responsible for the construction.
Once operational, the highway is expected to improve the local highway network.
