All Main Towers of Huangmaohai Cross-Sea Passage Capped

Capping of all 5 main towers of the Huangmaohai and Gaolangang bridges in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the last main tower of the Huangmaohai cross-sea passage project constructed by Guangdong Communications Group Co., Ltd., was successfully completed on April 18.

The Huangmaohai Bridge has a total length of 2,200 meters ,is the world's longest span for a three-tower highway cable-stayed bridge.

The last tower capped on April 18 is about 263.78 meters high, equaling the height of an 80-story building. It is the highest among the five main towers with the most dramatic cross-sectional deformation and the most complex construction techniques.

Currently, the construction of the Huangmaohai cross-sea passage project is smoothly progressing and the steel box girder hoisting is ready.The estimated closure time is April,2024.

The bridge is expected to be completed and open to traffic by the end of 2024.
