By situating the center under the sea, the flow rate and volume of the seawater help to fully cool the data center, which is expected to effectively reduce its energy consumption as well as its water usage and land occupation, and to add to its operation security, computing power and low latency.
Development of the underwater data center is in line with the safe and orderly flow of data in the Hainan Free Trade Port and serves the region's high-quality digital economy development.
It will be a crucial support for the marine economy in Lingshui, attracting capital and innovation elements, optimizing and upgrading the traditional marine industry, and cultivating the emerging marine industry.
