Editor's note:
By Dec 31, 2022, China General Nuclear Power Corporation (CGN) had 26 nuclear power generator units and more than 500 new energy stations in operation, with a total clean energy installed capacity of over 77 million kilowatts.
Since the No. 1 generator unit was put into commercial use at the Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant in 1994, CGN has generated a total of more than 2.4 trillion kilowatt-hours of power, equaling that produced by burning 724.78 million metric tons of standard coal and eliminating 2.01 billion tons of carbon dioxide. The efficiency is an equivalent to planting 5.4 million hectares of forest.
