The SUL2 power transmission project and the expansion of the Louisiana transformer substation in Brazil are now in operation.
Both contracted by subsidiaries of State Grid Corporation of China (State Grid) in Brazil, the two projects will supply power to Rio Grande do Sul and Brasilia, which will contribute to improving local power supply stability and boosting regional economic development.

Construction of the SUL2 power transmission project started in February 2020 and includes construction of two 230-kilovolt substations, a 66-kilometer 230-kV single circuit power transmission line and an 8-kilometer 230-kV single circuit underground cable, as well as expansion of a 230-kV transformer substation.
On March 11, 2023, National Electric System Operator of Brazil (ONS) approved the project for commercial operation.

Located in Central Brazil's state of Goias, the Louisiana transformer substation has a voltage level of 500 kV. The expansion project kicked off in February 2022 and started commercial operation on March 13 this year, 68 days earlier than the commissioning time stipulated by the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Authority.
