A "super factory" was launched by FAW Jiefang Truck Co., Ltd. (FAW Jiefang), a subsidiary of China FAW Group Co., Ltd in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu Province.
Construction of the super factory started on Sept 26, 2020. With a total investment of nearly 1.23 billion yuan ($178.71 million), the factory of an area of 38,000 square meters is capable of producing 20,000 units of engines and 60,000 units of natural gas engines.
Having adopted internationally-leading design and meeting high industrial standards, the super factory is green and smart and able to produce fine products.
The Aowei 16L engine developed by FAW Jiefang is based on 10 innovative technologies and has outstanding performances in power, economic efficiency, reliability, safety and long oil change intervals. It is expected to contribute to accelerating the replacement of old growth drivers with new ones in the engine industry.
