China and Russia, as neighboring countries, have been sharing good friendship and have great cooperation potential.
One of the first Chinese enterprises to develop in Russia, China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) has played a role in the Russian market for 18 years, deepening co-construction of the Belt and Road and contributing to docking and cooperation with the Eurasian Economic Union.
The company has participated in China-Russia economic and trade cooperation, launched diversified businesses, and promoted the going global of the "China built" approach while fulfilling social responsibilities, helping Russian employees to improve their skills and sharing mutual benefit with local people.
High-quality construction
A three-story European style building painted in yellow and white sits at the outskirts of Moscow, capital of Russia. It is the only overseas permanent exhibition center in the history of the Communist Party of China.
CSCEC was responsible for the renovation of the exhibition center, during which advanced building information model (BIM) technology and traditional Russian engineering techniques were used. It took the company 293 days to consolidate the building structure, renovate the roof, decorate the interior design and install electromechanical devices.

Located at the bank of the Yauza River in North Moscow, the Moscow China Trade Center is an iconic project of the practical cooperation between China and Russia. Adopting a digital platform and CSCEC-developed heating hut technology, CSCEC realized real-time monitoring of on-site engineering quality, progress, labor and security, which helped ensure project quality.
During the peak construction period, more than 400 employees from Russia, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan were recruited. The job opportunities brought by the project contributed to local economic development.
Chinese techniques
A 420-meter-high comprehensive building integrating functions of business, office space and leisure and entertainment is located in the central business district of Moscow. It was once the highest building with fully reinforced concrete structure in Europe when it was building in 2005.

CSCEC has contributed to introducing Chinese techniques to the Russian building industries. Many building projects with participation of CSCEC have won Chinese and international building awards.
Green development
CSCEC has been adhering to green development principles during construction.
For example, green technologies can be seen everywhere at the Baltic Pearl project in Krasnoselsky District, Saint Petersburg.
With a total building area of 129,000 square meters, the project includes six multi-functional buildings with residences, a retail mall and underground parking. Intended as a modern home equipped with a high quality, comfortable living environment, complete supporting facilities and easy traffic, the project was listed among the best comprehensive communities in Russia.

In consideration of the local natural environment, CSCEC designed a special respiration-type curtain wall for the buildings which can help release heat caused by sunlight and dry the surface of the waterproof breathable membrane and the ceramic tile in summer and the rainy season.
In winter, the curtain wall helps stop heat running off to the outside, which provides a warm environment for residents.
Over the past 18 years, CSCEC has participated in construction of Russian cities, witnessed deepening of China-Russia friendship and promoted itself with Chinese technologies and high-quality construction.
