Sinomach Inks Overseas, Domestic Projects in Early 2023

Updated: March 24, 2023

China National Machinery Industry Corporation (Sinomach) has inked several domestic and overseas projects since early this year.

Centering on the high-quality co-construction of the Belt and Road, Sinomach will continue to participate in overseas projects benefiting local people.

It will be responsible for the construction of modern stadiums for the 2025 Asian Youth Games and Asian Youth Para Games in Tashkent. Once operational, the stadiums are expected to help promote the healthy development of sports in Uzbekistan and Central Asia.

The project is the first large-scale cooperation project between China and Uzbekistan since the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Samarkand in 2022.

Located in an eastern part of Tashkent, the project will cover 100.42 hectares (1,506.3 mu) with a total building area of about 100,000 square meters. It will mainly include construction of the stadiums, the multi-functional venues, a martial art gym, the main office building and the outdoor sports field as well as supporting facilities.

The company also won the bid for the Middle East KE Oilfield Backup Power Supply Project.

Once operational, the project is expected to play an important demonstration role in improving the economic benefit and environmental protection of the oilfield.

The project will mainly include construction of processing facilities for crude oil and natural gas as well as supporting facilities.

Sinomach will also adhere to the "dual circulation" development pattern in which the domestic economic cycle plays a leading role while the international economic cycle remains its extension and contributes supplementary support to domestic projects.

For example, the company has signed a contract to build a cold chain logistics industrial park in Luohe, Central China's Henan Province. The project is expected to effectively enhance the transformation and upgrading of the cold chain logistics industry in the region and strongly support the high-quality development of the local economy and society.

Covering an area of about 170,000 square meters, the project will include construction of infrastructure such as a refrigerated processing workshop, a inspection workshop, freezer rooms, office buildings and outdoor supporting facilities such as the pipeline network.

The company will also play a role in construction of a distributed photovoltaic power plant in Yangzhou, East China's Jiangsu Province. The project when completed will be of great significance in adjusting and optimizing the local energy structure, promoting energy saving and emission reduction, as well as improving the air quality.

The project is designed to have an installed capacity of 9 megawatts and is scheduled to be put into operation this May, after which time it is expected to generate about 9 million kilowatt-hours of power annually, an elimination of about 6,300 metric tons of carbon dioxide.

In addition, Sinomach will help design the branch project of the Beijing Anzhen Hospital in Hefei, East China's Anhui Province.

Located in the Hefei High-tech Development Zone, it will be a modern, digitalized comprehensive medical and health center integrating medical treatment, teaching and scientific research, and will strongly improve the level of local public medical services. The project will cover about 145,000 square meters and feature 1,000 beds.

The company will also play a role in the food industry.

It will contract a pecan food industrial park project in Linquan County, Fuyang of Anhui.

Covering an area of about 120,000 square meters, the project is expected to have an output of 10,000 tons of pecan products, and will feature eight production lines for pecan processing and packaging, as well as processing of other products including protein powder.
