CGDG Contributes to Upcoming Asian Games in Hangzhou

Updated: March 16, 2023

March 7 marks the 200-day countdown of the 19th Hangzhou Asian Games that will be held in Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang Province. Construction of the Chun'an competition area is about to complete.

Contracted by China Green Development Investment Group (CGDG), the area is to witness the cycling, triathlon and marathon swimming events.

The roof of the track cycling stadium adopted the partial membrane structure and was installed with a glass curtain wall, which, combined with the building’s computer-controlled flood lighting system, created dynamic and colorful light effects.

The design of the venue has been well integrated with Qiandao Lake, or Thousand-Island Lake.

Covering an area of 24,000 square meters, the track cycling venue has more than 3,000 seats distributed around the arena. It is designed and built in accordance with high standards, and the building materials and the selection of equipment met the requirements for green building and low-carbon emission reduction. The energy consumption of the building is monitored by automatic control and energy monitoring systems.

The 250-meter long and 8-meter-wide wooden track in the venue has a minimum slope of 13 degrees and a maximum slope of 45 degrees. It is made of 374 pieces of imported red pine. The venue will be renovated for various kinds of competition events after the Asian Games.

In the Qiandao Lake Resort, CGDG has promoted integration of green Asian Games and biodiversity protection through infrared camera monitoring of biodiversity, live biological surveys, planning of special lake and island tour routes and flora and fauna observation.

All the venues for the Asian Games are now ready to go, and CGDG is well prepared for the service work of the event.
