An integrated petrochemicals complex and infrastructure project, Kazakhstan's largest chemical and the first polyolefin project, was completed and put into operation on Nov 8, 2022.
Contracted by China National Chemical Engineering Group Corporation Ltd (CNCEC), the project is a model of China-Kazakhstan cooperation under the framework of the New Kazakhstan program that intends to improve social and economic conditions.
It took nearly five years to complete the project's construction, which included design, purchase, engineering as well as performance assessment of propane dehydrogenation-based propylene production and polypropylene production facilities.
Once operational, the project will provide crucial support to the upgrading of Kazakhstan's petrochemical industry and boost local social and economic development.
