A large-scale smart integrated cylindrical floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) facility has been delivered to its UK buyer in Qingdao, East China's Shandong Province.

With a total height of 118 meters and a weight of about 32,000 metric tons, the FPSO was specially designed and made for its buyer by Offshore Oil Engineering Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China National Offshore Oil Corporation.
The FPSO integrates functions of crude oil production, storage and export. It is like an offshore oil and gas processing plant, making it a mainstream production facility for global offshore oil and gas development.
Presenting great difficulty in construction, it is also called "the pearl of the crown" in the field of offshore engineering as it has high degree of integration and high technical requirements.
Among all FPSO facilities, the cylindrical one performs well in withstanding harsh sea conditions and can be used in a wide range of water depths. This kind of FPSO facility also has high economic applicability and requires less steel in construction, which represents the latest development trend of FPSO technology in the international arena.
