Located in the Bay of Kompong Som, Northeast of Sihanoukville, Cambodia, the Sihanoukville project has an installed capacity of 2×350,000 kilowatts. The project is the most advanced and environmentally friendly thermal power project with the largest installed capacity in Cambodia. It will help improve Cambodia's power supply structure and power infrastructure, and boost local economic and social development.

The main body of the project started construction on Aug 18, 2020, with the project's construction lasting 27 months. Focused on a beautiful environment, high-quality engineering, and efficient operation, the project overcame many difficulties, such as high temperature, rain, lack of materials, and lagging logistics.

With Chinese standards, equipment, technology, management and services, the project further establishes a good international brand image of CHD in Cambodia.
