China is making contributions to the FIFA World Cup finals that are underway in Qatar.
Tenghai Technology of Tianjin's Jinghai district contributed to the construction of the Lusail Stadium, Qatar's biggest sporting venue.
The golden bowl-shaped 80,000-seat venue was built by China Railway Construction Corp, and all of the cables used for the stadium were made by Chinese companies.
Tenghai provided 375 tons of prestressed steel strands for the venue, producing the steel products in just five days.
Dong Kehai, general manager of Tenghai said before the FIFA World Cup that the company won orders for another landmark building in China — Beijing Daxing International Airport — and he believed the quality and efficiency in the supply were key to the company's success in winning the orders.
With excellent quality and supply efficiency, the company's products have been widely used in various key projects across the country, as well as exported to many countries and regions.
The venue is one of the most environmentally friendly stadiums in the world. Sustainable building practices were applied throughout the construction of the facility. The process has saved about 40 percent of freshwater consumption compared with that of a conventional stadiums.
