China Railway Construction Corporation Limited (CRCC) played a key role in the construction of the Lusail Stadium in Qatar, the main venue of the FIFA World Cup 2022 that kicked off on Nov 20.
The design of the stadium was inspired by the pattern on a traditional enamel lantern and a date palm bowl. With a saddle-shaped roof, the stadium covers an area of 195,000 square meters and can accommodate 80,000 spectators at one time.

Construction of the project has driven the export of supply and service chains of China's infrastructure. More than 100 large-scale enterprises from more than 20 countries and over 7,000 builders around the world contributed to the project.
