Construction of the Binhai interchange main section of the Jintang Bridge of the Ningbo-Zhoushan highway was completed on Nov 3.
China Railway 16th Bureau Group Corporation Limited, a subsidiary of China Railway Construction Corporation Limited, is responsible for the project.
A key section of the first phase of the Hangzhou-Ningbo highway, the Binhai interchange is the largest offshore interchange main bridge in Asia.

The first phase of the six-lane Hangzhou-Ningbo highway is 55.83 kilometers long and has a designed speed of 120 kilometers per hour.
Once operational, it is expected to help shorten travel time between the South Yangtze River delta region and Shanghai and Jiangsu Province, particularly the regions along the Hangzhou Bay. It will also improve the Ningbo-Zhoushan collection and distribution network and the national highway network.
