CNPC Signs Contracts Valued at Over $16 Billion at 5th CIIE

China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) has signed huge contracts at the China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai.

At the Fifth CNPC International Cooperation Forum & Signing Ceremony, the company signed 30 purchase agreements valued at $16.79 billion on Nov 5 with partners like Saudi Aramco, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation and Schlumberger Ltd.

CNPC regards CIIE as a key platform to strengthen international business cooperation and showcase its enterprise image.

The forum has been held for five years at the CIIE and this year it focuses on changes unseen in a century that have brought about a transformation to green and low-carbon energy, international energy cooperation, co-construction of a safe and clean global energy system and building of a clean and low-carbon energy industrial chain.

The aggregated purchase amount in the past five years reached $92.79 billion with 142 suppliers.
