China Automotive Technology and Research Center Co., Ltd. recently launched a science and innovation base for new energy vehicles in North China's Tianjin Municipality.

The base has comprehensive testing buildings covering a total area of 116,000 square meters and is equipped with more than 1,000 sets of testing facilities. It includes six departments -- fuel cells, power batteries, electric drive and control, charging technology, electromagnetic compatibility and new energy vehicles as a whole.

Testing services for new energy passenger and commercial vehicles as well as for spare parts for new energy cars are provided at the base.
In the future, the base is expected to provide 360 degree and comprehensive services for development of China's new energy vehicle industry such as original design, development and verification, testing and certification and renovation and optimization.
