For example, the berthing plan was rescheduled at the container terminals to guarantee smooth berthing and departure of large vessels while increasing usage rate of the berths and improving loading and transfer efficiency of the goods.

What's more, digital and paper-free processes have been promoted at Beibu Gulf, making clearance much easier than before. The average clearance time has been cut down by more than 20 hours, which improves the clearance experience and increases the number of cargoes transiting the port.

Statistics show that Beibu Gulf handled 160 million metric tons of goods from January to July in 2022, a year-on-year growth of 5.3 percent. Nearly 3.8 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) were handled during the period, up by 22 percent year-on-year.
