Three main venues for the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 in East China's Zhejiang Province are now ready for the public.
Invested, built and operated by China Construction Eighth Engineering Division Corp., Ltd, a subsidiary of China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC), the venues consist of a main gymnasium, a natatorium and a comprehensive training center, and cover a total area of nearly 582,000 square meters.
The gymnasium and the natatorium together make up the largest conjoined double-building in China, which is designed in a unique streamline shape with a silver-white metal roof and two wing-shaped structures, making it look like a butterfly.

The main gymnasium, designed in accordance with National Basketball Association (NBA) game standards, can accommodate 18,000 spectators, and is the only indoor gymnasium in Zhejiang capable of holding 10,000 people. It is also the first venue in the province that can host ice and field sports events as well as basketball games.
The natatorium, which can accommodate 6,000 spectators, is also the largest of its kind in the region, and is equipped with advanced water treatment and intelligent management systems.
