Making use of the facility, China National Offshore Oil Corporation employees have carried out nearly 50 missions including excavation of a natural gas development well.

Its operation is expected to promote application of advanced domestically-made equipment in marine oil and gas resource exploitation and development, improve the self-sufficiency rate of energy and guarantee national energy security.
