Built by China Railway Construction Bridge Engineering Bureau Group Co., Ltd., the 926.1-meter cable-stayed bridge has three towers and two 228-meter main spans. It so far has the longest span of any multi-extradosed cable-stayed high-speed railway bridge in China.
Linking Chizhou Railway Station and Huangshan North Railway Station, the railway is a key part of the Wuhan-Hangzhou High-speed Railway network and has a total length of 125.1 kilometers. With a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour, trains will call at Jiuhua Mountain Station, Huangshan West Station and Yixian East Station.
Once operational, the railway will link core scenic spots in South Anhui, which include Jiuhua Mountain, Huangshan Mountain and Taiping Lake. It is of great significance in improving the regional high-speed railway network, accelerating construction of an international cultural and tourism demonstration zone in South Anhui, and boosting economic and social development in affected areas.
