Jiangnan Shipyard (Group) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited in Shanghai, has made progress in shipbuilding since it resumed production.
It launched a 24,000-TEU ultra-large container vessel, a 99,000-cubic meter very large ethane carrier (VLEC) and an 86,000-cubic meter very large gas carrier (VLGC) on May 30.
In addition, a 99,000-cubic meter VLEC and an 86,000-cubic meter VLGC were placed in the water on the same day.
The company has also started construction of a second 93,000-cubic meter VLGC, a fourth-generation Panda 93P that is independently developed and designed by Jiangnan Shipyard (Group) Co., Ltd. It is expected to be the world's largest dual-fuel VLGC.
The carrier has a large transport capacity and leading performance in navigation speed and fuel consumption while using liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) during the entire journey, which makes it an ideal green ship.
The progress has laid a solid foundation for the upcoming production of the next half year's work.
