Construction of Runway at Cambodia's Siem Reap-Angkor International Airport Completed

Construction of the runway at Siem Reap-Angkor International Airport in Cambodia has been completed.

Jointly invested and built by Yunnan Investment Group, Yunnan Construction And Investment Holding Group Co., Ltd. and Yunnan Airport Group Co., Ltd., the runway, a main part of the airport project, is 3,600 meters long and 45 meters wide.

Concreting of the runway started on Jan 16 this year and was completed in 125 days, 10 days ahead of schedule. It required 70,000 cubic meters of concrete.

The airport is scheduled to be put into operation in October 2023. Once operational, it is expected to play a role in improving local infrastructure construction, increasing employment and promoting development of the tourism industry in the country.
