Ensuring convenient and safe online office
In order to carry out efficient home-based work, China Minmetals launched a packaged solution integrating easy, highly-efficient, safe and reliable remote access, collaborative office, videoconferencing and cloud document systems.
According to the company, its staff members have accessed the company's intranet through a VPN more than 55,000 times since May, and applications like SAP and OA have gained more than 3 million hits.
Meanwhile, the company launched an innovative mobile collaborative office system that enables employees to communicate and complete various approval processes anytime through an application on their smart phones.
Confidentiality is critical. The company developed a dedicated network-based videoconferencing system and a cloud videoconferencing system in all its subsidiaries to guarantee safe and confidential communication.
Since May, the company has held nearly 6,000 meetings via video link with more than 26,000 people in attendance.
It's worth mentioning that China Minmetals also joined hands with WPS Office and built a secure cloud document system to keep business secrets. Employees working from home can store, share and collaboratively edit documents through the systems, which improves teamwork efficiency while ensuring independent and controllable information security.
The company also strengthened inspection of the network infrastructure and key application systems of the data centers to detect potential hidden problems and eliminate mechanical errors in a timely way.
