Located about 60 kilometers east of Lagos, Lekki port is the first modern deep-sea port in the country, and it is to be equipped with five quay cranes and 15 rubber tyred gantry cranes.

The track gauge and lifting height of the quay cranes are 30.48 meters and 52 meters, and those of the rubber tyred gantry cranes are 26.5 meters and 20.62 meters. The rated load of the cranes is 41 metric tons.

Once operational, the port is expected to effectively improve freight allocation capacity and lower logistic costs of international trade.

CCCC's China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd. is responsible for investment, construction and operation of the project.
