Located at the border of Tianshui in Gansu Province and Baoji in Shaanxi Province, the tunnel shed consists of a 24-meter long and wide steel shed frame weighing 65 metric tons and two 37-meter girders, each weighing 113 tons.

Once operational, the project is expected to help eliminate potential safety hazard at the exit of the Nanbeiya Tunnel, which will ensure smooth and safe railway operation while boosting economic and social development in affected areas and promoting rural vitalization.

No. 4 Engineering Corporation Limited of CR20G, a subsidiary of China Railway Construction Corporation Limited, was responsible for the project.
