Updated: April 06, 2022

The Fenghuang Maglev Line in Central China's Hunan Province, the first of its kind in the world for a tourist attraction, has completed construction and passed final inspection.

A key Maglev project in Hunan during China's 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-2020) period, it is located in Fenghuang Town, Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture. It is a new-type of rail transit line linking the Maglev high-speed railway station and Fenghuang.

China Railway Hi-Tech Industry Co., Ltd. (CRHIC), a subsidiary of China Railway Group Limited, was responsible for design, manufacture and installation of six sets of turnouts on the line.

The new-type turnouts can avoid the resonant frequency of the running trains, which guarantees stable operation.

A newly-developed locking device has been used in the switches to improve the line's anti-vibration capacity. In addition, advanced driving equipment improves reliability and running speed of the turnouts, which realizes safety, stability and smoothness during operations.

The Maglev track panel transport vehicles were developed and manufactured by CRHIC. The vehicle can realize track panel engineering at sections like medium and small-curved tunnels and bridges, strengthening support for on-schedule operations.
