Incubation platforms to enhance workers' skills should be improved to promote development of the manufacturing industry, according to Miao Xiu, a deputy to the 13th National People's Congress.
Miao, a senior technician of Harbin Dongan Auto Engine Co., Ltd. (DAAE), a subsidiary of China South Industries Group Co., Ltd., suggested that companies should build long-term technical capacity assessment and encouragement mechanisms, encourage technicians to participate in diversified online training and technical competitions, and push forward joint talent cultivation between colleges and enterprises.
She also stressed that enterprises should launch technical master workshops to provide development platforms for technical talents and foster technical and innovative workers.

DAAE is one of China's 10 billion-yuan-level industrial bases planned by China South Industries Group Co., Ltd. for the national 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) period. Focusing on innovative product upgrading, the company aims to build an automobile industrial cluster in Harbin, Northeast China's Heilongjiang Province.
Miao said that she will follow policy and technical development trends of the auto industry and devote herself to research and development of new products to contribute to local industrial development.
