The Olympic rings at the Yanqing competition zone of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics were recently hoisted into position by China Construction Second Engineering Bureau Ltd., a subsidiary of China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC).
Located at the Yanqing solar power generation research base, the Olympic rings tower project includes installation of the Olympic rings structure and the ice belt-shaped steel structure of the tower body.

The Olympic rings structure consists of a body and a base.
Each of the rings has a 12-meter outside diameter and a 10-meter inside diameter. Made of steel, the structure weighs about 51 metric tons. More than 70,000 white point light sources were installed on the surface of the Olympic rings structure.
Six ice ribbon-shaped belts made of steel pipes are installed on the tower body. Each of the belts weighs about 45 tons.
In order to present the ice crystal effect, the belts are covered with ETFE film, which is similar to the outside film of the National Aquatics Center, dubbed the "Water Cube".
One of the key landmarks of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, the tower will be a scenic spot in the competition zone.
