World's First Hualong One Nuclear Power Generator Unit
The world's first Hualong One reactor went into commercial operation on Jan 30, 2021 at the No. 5 unit of China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC)'s Fuqing Nuclear Power Plant in Southeast China's Fujian Province.
Its operation makes China the world's fourth country to develop an indigenous third-generation nuclear power technology after the United States, France and Russia.
The reactor will play a role in optimizing China's energy structure and promoting its green and low-carbon development, and will contribute to achieving the country's goal of peaking carbon dioxide emissions by 2030 and reaching carbon neutrality by2060.

Shenhai Yihao gas field
The Shenhai Yihao ultra-deep-sea gas field, dubbed Deep Sea No 1, the first large-scale ultra-deepwater gas field independently explored and developed by China, was put into operation on June 25, 2021.
Its operation was a breakthrough in the country's deep-sea oil and gas exploration and development capacity as well as its deep-sea marine engineering equipment manufacturing.
Sitting on the gas field is Shenhai Yihao energy station, the world's first 100,000-metric ton deep-sea, semi-submersible oil production and storage platform, which was designed and built by China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC).
