The carrier rocket and the satellite sent into space were respectively developed by China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology and the China Academy of Space Technology, both subsidiaries of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC). The satellite with multiple frequency bands and high speed will be mainly used in satellite communication technology verification.
It was the last launch mission of CASC in 2021.
In 2021, CASC carried out more than 40 launch missions and had a 100 percent success rate. The launch on Dec 30 was the 405th flight of the Long March rocket family.
